On June 14, 2020, the Bangladeshi authorities announced that foreign investors and businessmen would now be allowed to enter Bangladesh ("on arrival" visa) provided that they were able to present a recent certificate (less than 72 hours) attesting that they are not carriers of the Covid19 virus (as well as the supporting documents to be presented in support of a visa application for business).

April 12, 2020, local authorities announced:
the extension of the suspension of the issuance of visas on arrival in Bangladesh
that people from any country affected by the Coronavirus will be quarantined for two weeks (from the day of arrival). On a case-by-case basis, the Bangladeshi authorities will decide whether it will be "self-quarantine" (under control) or quarantine carried out in facilities provided for this purpose.

Since March 17, 2020:
The issuance of visas by the French Embassy in Dacca is suspended (until further notice). The borders at the entrance to the European Union and the Schengen area are closed sine die.
Foreign nationals who have no compelling reason to travel to Europe or France will be denied access to French territory.
Exceptions: foreigners who have a French or European residence permit and who return to their homes, foreigners who provide international transport of goods and foreign health professionals who intervene to combat Covid - 19 will be admitted.
